Satisfying every Colour Palate
Built for family of four, owners of this 1898 Victorian Home, Jennifer and Barney, have always loved old homes, but value living with modern conveniences. As a result, the inspiration for this renovation was to restore the older parts of the house and add on a modern living, dining and kitchen.
Featuring: KitchenAid Pistachio Stand Mixer.
“We deliberately kept the style of the extension very modern, in contrast to the old house so it didn’t look like we had tried to recreate and ‘match’ something that is over 100 years old. We also love the fact that because we demolished the back of the house, and were essentially building the new part, we could make it exactly how we wanted it and make it work for the way we live” owner Jennifer explains.
Featuring: Hansgrohe Raindance Overhead Shower and Hydrotherm Electric Towel Rail.
With ceilings that go up to 3.6m high, this home is not short of either space or light. Jennifer goes on to say, “We installed acoustic plasterboard because we were worried the combination of polished concrete floors, high ceilings, big glass windows and two children would make for a noisy environment. It ended up being a lovely feature with all the little holes, adds some textural interest compared to a standard plasterboard ceiling.“
Featuring: Kaldewei Bath Pure Bath and Astrawalker Shower Rose
While each room has a different feel, there is a strong consistency with the design of the house. The more you see, the more you understand why this is a home is classified as ‘inspirational’.
